AS A token of appreciation for the victorious Brunei U-21 Team that participated in and won the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy recently, B-Mobile Communication Sdn Bhd organised a prize presentation ceremony in their honour, which concluded with a meet-the-fans session at the atrium floor of the Airport Mall in Berakas yesterday.

Invited guest of honour, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Dato Paduka Hj Hamid Hj Ja'afar together with legendary former Liverpool and England international John Barnes, who is currently part of the EPL Masters, took to the stage to present the Young Wasps and their management team with a gift bag and a certificate of appreciation. Also present on behalf of B-Mobile was its Chief Executive Officer, Lim Ming Soon.

In his speech, the CEO said,"B-Mobile is proud to have been one of the main sponsors of the event (Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy Tournament 2012) because the event not only represented prestige, it was also a development and acknowledgement of the youth winning the trophy was the icing on the cake."

He further added that achievements must not pass by unnoticed and unacknowledged. "Therefore as a main sponsor, B-Mobile joins the nation in congratulating each of these exceptional players and their management, and thus rewarding them for their efforts," he said.

According to a press release, it is hoped that in the presence of a great football player such as John Barnes, the younger generation would develop more enthusiasm and be driven to pursue their dreams, whether in football or any other sport.

Adi Said was announced as the 'Man of the Match' during the event and was presented with a separate token of appreciation by B-Mobile's CEO.

With the conclusion of the prize presentation, the players kicked off the meet-the-fans session where the crowds that had been waiting finally got the chance to meet and take pictures of the Brunei U-21 Team players.
